Healthcare Assistant training (Step Into Care)

Do you want to do something amazing and become a healthcare assistant or support worker? 

Step Into Care is a four-week employment programme that will offer: 

  • A guaranteed job interview upon successful completion
  • Local, flexible employment with the option of two different care roles
  • Two accredited qualifications (Level 1 Health and Social Care and Level 1 Digital Skills)
  • DBS and uniform paid for by employer
  • Excellent progression (including Level 2 and 3 Diplomas in Care Support from qualified learning advisors, trainers and coaches)

Over 80% of candidates who complete the programme enter employment and no experience or driving licence is required. 

Monthly enrolments are continuing in September 2024 in various care settings such as Residential and Nursing Homes, Support, Mental Health, Community Care and NHS.

Please note, you will have to pass a functional skills assessment before being accepted on to the programme.

There are five locations that will be running courses on the following dates:

Walsall

Location: St Matthew's Centre (within St Matthew's Church), St Matthew's Close, Walsall, WS1 3DG

Moseley

Location: Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club, Billesley Common, Yardley Wood Rd, Birmingham, B13 0PT

Course Delivery: Monday 9 September - Friday 4 October

Dudley

Location: Ingeus, Ebony House, Castlegate Way, Complex, Dudley DY1 4TA

Wolverhampton

Location: AFC Wulfrunians Stadium, Castlecroft Road, Wolverhampton, WV3 8LU

Course delivery: Monday 30 September - Friday 25 October

Birmingham City Centre

All information days will start at 10am and finish no later than 2pm. The course itself will be 9.30am until 2.30pm each day.
