KFC Hatch programme

Hatch is an employability programme, run in partnership with KFC, which provides workshops and paid work experience placements for young people aged 16-25 who are not in education employment or training, or are at risk of being so.

Birmingham Children's Trust has referred young people to this scheme in the past who have now secured employment. 

There are a number of vacancies available for young people willing to travel to the following stores:

  • Stourbridge - St Johns Road
  • Birmingham - New Oscott
  • Walsall Wood - Lichfield Road
  • Birmingham - Yew Tree Retail Park

Participants must:

  • Be aged 16 – 25 and must not turn 26 before the end of their placement
  • Not be in education, employment or training 
  • Must not be starting college or university in September
  • Not have completed a Hatch placement before
