Level 2 Diploma: Carpentry

BMet are offering a Level 2 Diploma in Carpentry at their dedicated construction facility at Erdington Skills Centre.

Course location: Erdington Skills Centre, Edwards Road, Birmingham, B24 9EW
Course start date: Monday 20 January 2025
Course schedule: 3 days a week, 18 weeks in total
The course includes:
- Knowledge about using hand tools and portable power tools
- Creating basic woodworking joints to include first fixing and second fixing and how to set up structural carcassing
- How to use and maintain a circular saw and carry out maintenance work
- Access to a dedicated personal tutor with experience from industry
- Use of our state-of-the-art construction workshops at the Erdington Skills Centre
Candidates must:
- Be unemployed and in receipt of a benefit such as Jobseeker's Allowance and Universal Credit
- Be 19+ as of 31 August 2024 and have lived in the UK for the past three years
- Complete an initial assessment in Maths & English
