Teaching Assistant course

This 4 week programme will give you the opportunity to gain the knowledge needed to work within a college environment knowledge covering:

• Conduct and Behaviour
• Materials and Resources
• Safeguarding
• Effective Learning Environment
• Employability Skills

Upon satisfactory completion of this programme you will be guaranteed an interview with South & City College Birmingham for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship, paid at National Minimum Wage.

Entry requirements

• Must have GCSE Grade 4 or above in English and Maths or Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths.
• Must be able to commit to a full-time position.

Eligibility

• Candidates need to be 19+ on or before 31 August 2024.
• Unemployed and lived in the UK for the last 3 years.
• Live within a WMCA postcode which will be checked on application.
