Following up a safeguarding concern I have made
- Once you have submitted a Request for Support Form your concern will be reviewed by our CASS Social Work Team using the Right Help Right Time threshold document.
- Where appropriate, PR holders will be contacted for further information; checks will be made with our partner agencies, and any historical information we hold regarding the child will be considered. The most appropriate action will then be agreed in CASS.
- An outcome of this action will be sent to the referrer. Where the outcome is to complete a Social Work Family Assessment the notification will include the name and contact details of the team your concern has been assigned to.
- Please give sufficient time for your concern to be reviewed by CASS and for the us to make a decision. Please be mindful that there are longer CASS timescales for receiving outcomes where the decision is Early Help support.
- In circumstances where you have just completed a Request for Support Form but additional information has come to light, please contact CASS to provide an update. If it is urgent information, then please call, otherwise complete the referral form with the update.
